According to Martha Stewart, sculleries are making a comeback. If you’re not familiar with what a scullery is, keep reading, we’ll get there.
Years ago when we lived in our 1902 Queen Anne style home in rural Vermont, we had a scullery. At the time, I thought it was a butler’s pantry but, I’ve now learned, because it had a sink, it was actually a teeny-tiny scullery. Looking back, I can see just how practical that little room really was.
Side note: Fun fact, that picture above is the scullery from our Vermont house. On a whim as I was writing this article I looked up the address and discovered the house is for sale.
