Preparedness doesn’t happen all at once. It’s built step by step, choice by choice, month by month. That’s why I created the 2026 Preparedness Pantry Calendar, to help you begin (or continue) your journey with calm, confidence, and clarity.
This is the third year I’ve created this calendar, and each year gets better. In fact, 2026 is extra special, my daughter Sasha joined me as the graphic designer, creating beautiful, graphics for every page.
Inside, you’ll find:
🗓 Monthly tips & strategies — practical guidance to help you build resilience without overwhelm
✅ Seasonal checklists — reminders of what to do when, so you stay on track year-round
🍲 Pantry-building prompts — micro-steps that add up to long-term food security and peace of mind
Instead of scrambling when life throws surprises your way, you’ll already have a plan and the calm that comes with it.
This Year’s Theme: Doors
For 2026, the theme is Doors, symbols of both safety and possibility.
More than just entryways, doors represent transitions:
From uncertainty to readiness
From fear to freedom
From chaos to calm
Each month highlights imagery and insights that bring this theme to life.
Why doors?
They remind us to secure our homes and protect our loved ones
They encourage us to plan escape routes and identify access to essential resources
They serve as practical, everyday reminders that preparedness can be both empowering and comforting
Every page is designed not just to guide your preparedness but to inspire it.
Preparedness With Peace of Mind
Emergencies can be scary. Preparedness takes that down a notch.
Being prepared means you’re creating space for:
Confidence — knowing you have what you need
Connection — supporting your household and even your community
Calm — reducing stress before, during, and after a crisis
Whether you’re brand new to preparedness or deepening your skills, the 2026 Preparedness Pantry Calendar offers encouragement and actionable steps to help you feel steady and supported all year long.
By the end of the year, you won’t just have a stocked pantry, you’ll have a living, breathing preparedness plan that fits your life.

A Personal Note
I’m honored to walk this journey with you. As I’ve learned from personal experience, and what I hope for you, is that preparedness is not about fear. It’s about peace of mind, about knowing that when life gets unpredictable you have a plan and the resources to keep going.
I can’t wait to see how this calendar supports you and your family throughout the year. And when it does, I’d love for you to share your story. Who knows, you may inspire someone else to take their first step.
Thank you for letting me be part of your journey.
Be prepared, be well,
Mira

You have given me a lot to think about here. I’ve been thinking a lot about the balance between planning and preparedness and holding loose my attachment to a particular outcome. I just LOVE the idea of doors as offering both safety and possibility. The thing that came up for me when reading that is: Walk through the door, knowing you’re prepared to do so, but without attachment to what’s on the other side.
